The desert, an inevitable encounter!

A part of me always knew that one day I would walk in the desert. For a long time, it was an intuition that gradually turned into a dream.
And then, one fine day in January, the dream became a real project.
Taking a step back to measure how this dream became reality, I became aware, in my own story, of all the clues converging towards the obvious.
Since my childhood, the book "Le Petit Prince" has instilled in me luminous inspirations, like " What makes the desert beautiful is that it hides a well somewhere ," and also " I have always loved the desert. You sit on a sand dune. You see nothing. You hear nothing. And yet something shines in silence.
During my first long walk on the Camino, I cross the desert plateau of the Meseta. There, I feel deeply the truth of Charles Wright's words, when he says that " The infinity of horizons awakens in the walker the nostalgia for his own depths and the desire to travel the immensities that are within him. "
And then, a few months ago, while listening to a podcast on courage, I was struck by the way Blanche de Richemont spoke of her walks in the desert, at night under the stars: “When we are silent, in the night, we feel that we are much greater than we imagine… and we touch a little bit of this infinity that is within us. ”
I believe that, that day, the evidence crystallized in me, that the desert called me to go and explore it by walking. Alone, but also with the groups that I accompany in order to share, with them, its benefits.
From that day on, everything in me is open to this possibility.
Until the opportunity presents itself, of course.
A friend who walked with me on a Woaching course put me in touch with Sandra, with whom she had just returned from walking in the desert.
Sandra and her partner Sidahmed have been organizing and accompanying group nomadic treks in the Moroccan desert for years, in cooperation with guides, like Marc and me, who provide self-discovery support content.
So, on January 16, Sandra, Sidahmed, Marc and I met. The current passed instantly between the four of us, carried by common values of generosity, simplicity and authenticity.
Together we define the outlines and theme of a desert walking project for autumn 2025. With a detailed organisation, a date... and a name!
“Opening your path... in search of new horizons”
The first people I told about it had stars in their eyes. So I am convinced that we are on the right path and I feel a deep gratitude to be able to feed the part of me that always knew that one day I would walk in the desert.
